thaks for the response im doing a rebuild on my 95 tt i melted a piston long story short i bought a jdm motor swapping my 48p heads over and all sensors so i basically have a brand new short block witht the 48p heads i did notice some ticking and seeing that i have the both motors apart i was thinking about replacing my 48p heads valves. i was also referring to something i heard i just heard from a few diffrent people not specifically about this car but in general when you replace the lifters and have the old cam in sometimes the car wont run right. just because of wear they have both seen while working together but im sure your right if i measure everything it should be fine i was just going off of word to mouth. I mean it does make sense that bc the cam lobe and lifter build a wear pattern but i just didnt know how drastically that affects it
